Pastor Jay Gross has been serving as the Senior Pastor of West Conroe Baptist Church since 1998. After surrendering his life to ministry as a ten year old boy, he began serving in a vast array of ministries including youth & student ministries as well as associate and senior pastor roles.
Born and raised in Groves, TX, he accepted Christ at an early age while attending Val Verde Baptist Church. Pastor Jay also met his wife, Dianna, of 45 years when her father came to pastor that same church. Together they have two children, Jennifer Gross Pippin and Jonathan Gross and one grandson, River Pippin.
Pastor Jay holds a Bachelors Degree from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. He went on to attend Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX where he attained a Master of Divinity as well as a Doctorate of Ministry. He serves across our community and has held board positions at Houston Baptist University, The International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention, and Hope's Path.
In his free time you might catch him hunting, fishing, golfing or spending time with his family and grandson, River - while enjoying Bluebell's Homemade Vanilla, of course!
